We were intrigued by these signs that we saw now and again along the road in South Australia.
“Stop Creeping” , what could it mean? As there were no other words explaining the reason for the sign, we wondered what it meant. Then we started seeing and hearing, TV and radio ads saying things like “Creepers think you can’t see them” “Creepers don’t just hurt themselves “ “Watch out for Creepers” etc. Also there were a few similar ads in the local papers. Then we finally realised that it was a S.A. Government road safety campaign. Creepers are evidently drivers who creep over the speed limit. I prefer to let my imagination run free and see odd little creatures popping out from behind trees.
